Hans Gerritsen (1951) has been a professional photographer since 1970. His career starts as a freelance press photographer for Rheinische Post in Nord Rhein Westfalen, Germany. Since 1980 he has specialized in dance- and ballet photography. In 1982 he founded ballet magazine Dans, of which he was both editor and photographer until 1990.Hans Gerritsen photographs for ballet companies such as Scapino Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theater, Introdans, Les Ballets de Monte Carlo and the Ballet of Flanders. He frequently exhibits his works in a variety of galleries and companies both in the Netherlands and abroad.
